Due to the striping of the street by the City of Carrollton… you may no longer stop or park in front of my house or the neighbors’ houses. All drop-offs, pick-ups, and parking must be done in my driveway behind the house. Please leave enough space for two vehicles in the driveway.
PLEASE DO NOT STOP IN THE ALLEY.

NO MAKE-UP LESSONS, NO RESCHEDULING,
NO REFUNDS OR CREDIT FOR MISSED LESSONS...NO EXCEPTIONS!
This means no changing of time slot or day on a temporary basis. (See the CALL LIST at the end of these policies for help with this.)
All tuition is due in advance for the next month by the 25th of each month. Any tuition paid after the 1st day of each month will be assessed a late fee. Example: August tuition is due on July 25th.

It is illegal to place anything in a mailbox that does not have postage, so please…
do not place your payment in my mailbox.

$20.00 LATE FEE
Tuition must be paid by the first day of each month.
Tuition paid after the first day will be assessed a $20.00 late fee.

30 DAY NOTICE
A thirty day notice is required when terminating classes. This allows time to fill your time slot.
2 Free lessons for each new student referral once that student has taken lessons for four months.
It would be impossible for me to donate to every worthy cause or to purchase from everyone. Therefore, because it would be unfair to help one and not the other, it is my policy to not contribute to any of them. Thank you for understanding.
ALL PERFORMANCES ARE VOLUNTARY
One recital per year in the fall. There is a $60.00 non-refundable fee for each participant.This fee helps to cover the cost of renting a venue, paying technicians, my assistants, etc.
(A maximum of $120.00 per household.)
Optional Costume Contest There must be at least 12 costumed performers to have a costume contest. The costume should be coordinated with the piece being performed and is judged on creativity, details, and whether it was home-made. Prize money of $30.00, $20.00, & $10.00 is awarded for 1st Place, 2nd Place, & 3rd Place costumes. From the 1st Place winners a Grand Prize winner will be selected and awarded an additional $50.00. (Ethnic apparel does not qualify as a costume.)
NON-COSTUMED PERFORMERS ARE REQUIRED TO DRESS FORMALLY. MALES MUST WEAR A SUIT AND A TIE. FEMALES MUST WEAR A LONG FRILLY DRESS. (APPROVED BY ME) ANYONE WHO IS NOT PROPERLY DRESSED WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PERFORM.
PIANO SOLO FESTIVAL
The Piano Bencher's Open and Costume Contest
This festival is held in April. There is a required list of music from which to choose. Each participant must memorize one piece in detail and he/she will receive a rating from a qualified judge. The judge will also select the best male and best female performance of the day and will be declared King and Queen for that year. The King and Queen will receive an additional award as well as having their names permanently placed on a plaque on the wall in my studio. All participants are awarded a trophy that is presented at the following Annual Pageant. Each participant also receives 100 bonus points on his/her individual score sheet.
Optional Costume Contest: Prize money of $20, $15, & $10 is awarded along with a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place Costume Trophy for the best costumes. Those who participate in the costume contest will have his/her photo taken and it will be posted. Everyone who comes to my studio during the following week may cast one vote for a costume. The Piano Bencher’s Open Entry fee is $20.00 and is non-refundable.
We do three performances per year at assisted living and retirement facilities. All participants receive a ribbon plus 100 bonus points on his/her individual score sheet.
Annual Score Sheets are kept on each student’s progress. At the conclusion of the Annual Pageant, all eligible students are awarded a trophy that has an annual report card attached.
The areas of trophy qualification are:
Spring Pageant Participation
Five year student & up
100 Pages Counted Aloud
Attended classes for at least six months
Ribbons are also awarded for the top achievers.

Yes, I would like to be on the call list and I understand that by participating I will be receiving calls, texts, and emails from other students to ask for temporary trade days. I will also have the privilege of contacting other members of the Call List.
